AAAH – a “little” autumn exercice

Since I love Acupressure, here’s a simple yet effective exercise for you (or it can have a considerable impact – depending on what you want!)

The AAAH exercise – it is the acronym for:

Awareness

Acknowledge

Allowing

History

So, what does that mean?

I want to guide you into an exercise that is perfect for autumn. Why? Because in the fall, you see how nature lets go of what’s not needed anymore. Here in the Laurentians, it’s undeniable with the leaves falling from the trees. The leaves did their job in spring and summer to produce energy for the tree, and now, in Fall, they let go of the tree because, in winter, they would freeze… so it’s time to let go of the branch and nourish the earth!

I invite you if there is something in your life that is past and that you would like to let go of but have a hard time allowing it to pass away to do this:

A for Awareness

– the awareness that something in your past is still bothersome.

Example: Someone said something hurtful to me, and I feel emotions when thinking about this person or the situation in which it happened.

.

A for Acknowledgement

– acknowledge that this is there without judgment.

Example:

I notice that this is what is bothering me. I become aware that I am still charged emotionally, that this is still difficult for me even though it’s passed.

A for Allowing

– allow all the feelings, thoughts, and emotions related to this past event to be there.

Example:

I allow my hurt, my pain, my deception, my anger, my grieving and whatever emotion comes up about this situation to be there. If that is difficult for you, I suggest doing it while tapping on the acupressure points of EFT! Here they are

H for History

– you know it’s passed history.

Have the intention to let go while holding the point in the photo.

By doing this, you can again allow everything that’s there to come up and pass through – while choosing to let it go.

Example:

I notice that anger is still the most prominent emotion. I hold the #35 point of Jin Shin Do and breathe into the sensation, into the emotion—anger—and intend to let go of it. Anger is hurting me! It’s over; it’s not my present anymore!
